Fundamentals of Parasitology
An introduction to the biology, morphology, and life cycles of parasitic protozoans, platyhelminths, and arthropods of humans and domestic animals. The nature of parasitism with an emphasis on form and function, transmission, and ecology will be examined. Topics may include the symptomatology,
pathogenesis, zoonotic potential, diagnosis and treatment options for some common parasitic agents.
Prerequisites: BI256.
Exclusions: HS308, HE440H.
